Brewing the Wet or Fresh Hop Ale

FHAToday is the day I’ve been waiting for.  They started early this morning picking fresh hops out at Korngården in Heddinge. We started a mash early, going for a 5% light amber ale, the focus should be on the fresh hop flavor. We are using two hybrid varietes, Magnum & Safir. The Magnum is known for it’s clean bitterness and the Safir has a spicy fruit aroma with hints of tangerine. However when used fresh we expect it to be heavy on the grassy flavors sprinkled with citrus. We drove out mid morning to inspect the picking and pick up 10 kilos.
